• We collect a photo you provide solely to verify eligibility. We do not create or store facial templates or biometric identifiers.

Images for Reviews/Checks

• Photos you upload for history checks or community reviews.
• These may be processed by SpillHerTea and third-party APIs.

Usage & Device Information

• IP address, device identifiers, app logs, and analytics.

Notifications

• We may send you alerts when your posts are reviewed or commented on.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Service.
• Verify identity, liveness, and gender.
• Face data is used one time to determine eligibility and not for marketing or profiling.
• Display and moderate User Content.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and harassment.
• Provide notifications and updates.
• Improve app functionality and safety.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/UK, we process your data under these legal bases:

4. Data Retention

• Photos used for verification are discarded immediately after processing. We retain only a binary verification status. When you delete your account, retained records are deleted.
• Reviews & Content: Auto-expire after 6 months.
• Account Data: Retained while your account is active, or as required by law.
• Images: Retained for the purpose of reviews/history checks until removal or account deletion.

5. Sharing of Information

We use a third-party service to perform gender detection. Images are transmitted securely and not retained by us or the vendor after processing. We do not sell face data or share it with advertisers.

We do not sell your data. We may share:

• With third-party APIs for reverse-image searches.
• With service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors).
• With law enforcement or regulators when legally required.
• With other users, when you voluntarily post content.

7. Face Data Consent

By using SpillHerTea, you consent to the one-time processing of your photo to verify your eligibility to use the Service. This process may involve a third-party service for gender detection. As stated in this policy, we do not store photos or biometric data after this check is complete.

8. Age Restriction

SpillHerTea is intended for users 18+ only.

We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards, including encryption, secure storage, and limited employee access. However, no system is 100% secure.

10. International Transfers

Data may be stored in the United States and accessed globally.

If you reside outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to a jurisdiction with different data protection laws.

11. Your Responsibilities

• Do not upload images you do not have rights or legitimate interest to share.
